As a company, we strive to hire the whole individual, someone whose personal values align with our company values. So, we'd like to know more about you than the typical employer might ask. As part of the application process, we will ask that you complete the following Personal Interest and Skills Questions, in addition to submitting your resume.

Personal Interest Questions:

• Think of a time in your life when you felt most alive. Describe the circumstances and what you were doing. Why is this particular time important to you?
• Are there certain elements of our beliefs, mission, and culture that you feel more connected to than others? Which of your personal qualities will be of the greatest benefit to the Tom's of Maine culture?
• Tell us about a time when you had to draw upon your personal values to solve a problem, either in a personal or professional setting.

Personal Skills Questions:

• Describe a time when you faced opposition to your ideas in a group in which you played a key role, and yet were able to achieve the results you wanted.
• Give us examples of ways in which you have improved efficiency and effectiveness in an area of importance in your professional life.
• Describe a time when you had to communicate honestly with another person or group of people about a difficult situation. How did you establish common ground with others who may have had different viewpoints?

We suggest that you take some time to reflect on these questions before answering.

We understand that you may have submitted a resume or application already, and we truly appreciate the time you have taken to do this.
