Partnerships
Here are some of the ways we work to live up to our beliefs and Mission:
Common Good Partnerships
Common Good Partnerships allow us to work together toward shared goals with like-minded companies and organizations while affirming our respect for people, nature, and community.
 |
The Rivers Awareness Program draws attention to our nation's troubled rivers and watersheds and encourages people to volunteer in their own communities. |
 |
Dental Health for All aims to increase access to dental care by supporting local community dental clinics and to improve oral health literacy.
|
 |
Bring Nature Home supports community gardening, herbal research, and a closer connection to nature. |
Giving for Goodness Program
Philanthropic giving is a key component of our efforts to live our
Mission. We give 10% of our pre-tax profits to nonprofit organizations
benefiting the environment, human need, arts, and education. One of our most
recent grants of note was a $500,000 grant to the Nature Conservancy toward the
acquisition and preservation of 185,000 acres along the Upper St. John River in
Maine,
the largest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi.
Sponsorships
Our sponsorship program promotes important causes
and work while contributing to the strategic goals of Tom's. Sponsorships
integrate our dual interests: to profit while contributing to the common good.

Volunteerism
Corporate volunteerism is one key way that Tom's demonstrates support for the
important work undertaken by nonprofit organizations. All employees are
encouraged to use up to 5% of their paid work time to do volunteer work in
nonprofit organizations of their choosing. Volunteer projects range from
visiting a local nursing home to serving as a volunteer firefighter to serving
spaghetti at a homeless shelter.
