FDA accepts our good science, no animal testing involved.

The choice was clear, either test on animals or petition the FDA to use a non-animal-testing alternative to prove our fluoride toothpaste to be safe and effective. While it may have been daunting for others, for us there was only one option. Watch the whole story.

I watched the video and did consider all the facts as a regular consumer. However, it has not led to a conclusive factual basis that Tom's of Maine is a complete advocate of No Animal Testing manufacturer. I believe it would have been easy to find this from another outside source than the company's self promoted blog.

I commented two days ago and I realize now that this blog is a farce. You are merely posting choice comments that help promote your business. This is not an open or honest discussion. I'm very disappointed. Though I have been loyal to Tom's for 20 years, I will no longer buy anything from this company. As well, I will make sure everyone I know is aware of my decision and the reasons for it.

I have been buying Tom's of Maine products for over ten years and have been very happy, particularly knowing that no animals were harmed in the testing of them. However, I just found out that you are owned by Colgate??? I now know that I've been funneling money to a company that still uses animals in their testing! I am appalled and more than a little disappointed. I am now forced to find an alternative to a family favorite. Thanks for empty promises, Tom's of Maine.

I am so delighted with your company! I love the fact that you do not use animals in your testing! I've been purchasing your products for not too long of a period of time, however, I will be a dedicated customer now! Thank you so much for the care and concerns. You are my kind of company.

I have a question about your fluoride toothpaste. Tom's was my choice for a toothpaste because I have hypothyroidism, and discovered that fluoride is horrible for that condition. Tom's was the only toothpaste I could find that did not include that substance. In addition, through reading about fluoride, I found out that it is a poison. Why do you now include it in some of your toothpastes?

It has come to my attention that Tom's is owned by Colgate. No animal testing? for just this product right? What about the other Colgate products?
