Goodness to Go — Make Your Vote Count!

In 2011 we're recognizing the goodness that mobile dental clinics provide around the country. So often, those with the greatest need for dental care may find themselves out of work, unable to travel to a clinic or working multiple jobs. We hope you'll take a few minutes to learn more about the important work of ten mobile clinics. Together we can bring goodness directly to those who need it.

Dental Health For All™ Supports Care For Everyone!

America Needs Dental Health for All™

For many of us, keeping our pearly whites bright and healthy is simple. For 120 million Americans without dental insurance it's a luxury. The 2000 U.S. Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health tells us the real story. Patients can wait up to 12 months for an appointment at a public clinic. Many show signs of periodontal or gingival disease and it's not unusual to see three-year-olds needing multiple root canals due to rampant decay.

When your smile is bright, so is your neighbor's.

Dental Health for All™ works to improve this situation by supporting community organizations that provide dental care to people who would otherwise go without. Tom's of Maine is proud to help fund community-based clinics that are working hard to fill the gaps in dental coverage and access.

Dental Health for All™ works.
  • $900,000 in funding has been provided to more than 25 school- and community-based dental clinics to increase patient capacity and improve or expand their patient services.
  • Nearly 200,000 additional annual patient visits have been made possible.
  • Over 238,000 tubes of free toothpaste have been given to underserved children and adults.
