Susanne Kuehl, RDH Professional Advocacy Team Leader

Susanne Kuehl joined Tom's of Maine in 2003 as Professional Advocacy Team Leader and acts as a liaison between industry and the oral health professions. She is dedicated to educating health professionals about natural oral care, its relationship to wellness, and Tom's of Maine Natural Care products. Along with developing educational and collateral materials about Tom's of Maine's values and products for health professionals, she builds relationships with professional and educational associations and offers support programs, sponsorships, and presentations.

A graduate of Westbrook College, Ms. Kuehl has over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist and periodontal co-therapist working in private practice. One of seven hygienists chosen nationally to work as a consultant for Oral-B, she served three years on their Dental Hygiene Advisory Board, providing technical input on new products. Ms. Kuehl has also been employed by Professional Dental Technologies as a sales representative in New Hampshire and Maine, acting as a professional liaison at dental meetings and conventions and giving product demonstrations and educational lectures on soft tissue management.

A past president of the New Hampshire Dental Hygiene Association and the NH Seacoast Component, she has chaired numerous committees for over a decade. An active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, Ms. Kuehl served on the Council for Regulation and Practice and has recently been appointed to the Access Industry Advisory Board for ADHA to provide input on industry trends and developments. Her continuing professional education includes certification in facilitation, coaching, community building, and conflict management. When she is not talking about teeth and gums, Ms.Kuehl is dedicated to fostering authentic dialogue through the study circle format for book groups, staff meetings, and business seminars.
