Give Kids a Smile

(2006) The Tom's of Maine Professional Advocacy group recently participated in the 2006 Give Kids a Smile Day by providing sample size toothpaste and oral health literature to the nonprofit group Community Dental of Portland, Maine.

Founded in 1918, Community Dental runs five dental health centers in central and southern Maine, where licensed professional staff provide treatment and education for residents of all ages regardless of income, physical or emotional conditions, or cultural challenges. Their ambitious goal is to "improve and promote the oral health of the individuals, families and communities in an effort to increase overall health and wellness."

Janet Keene RN, Practice Administrator, informed us that 53 children in two locations benefited from this partnership in the form of exams, X-rays, and diagnosis as well as preventive and restorative therapies. And no one left empty handed—every child received a tube of Tom's of Maine Natural Care toothpaste.
