Tom’s of Maine Announces New Patent-Pending Sensitive Care Deodorant

Two New Scents Especially Formulated for Sensitive Skin—Patent-Pending, Dermatologist-Tested

Kennebunk, Maine – July 25, 2008

Tom’s of Maine, the #1 natural deodorant brand, announced its new line of Sensitive Care Aluminum-Free Deodorants. The patent-pending Sensitive Deodorant is now available in three scents: Bay-Lime, Cucumber-Grapefruit and Fragrance-Free.

Keeping with its long history and commitment to sustainable business practices, Tom’s is using an innovative, environmentally friendly, and gentle method called supercritical extraction to draw out the most effective elements from hops, which inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and prevent odor naturally and effectively. The chamomile is extracted in a similar way and is used to soothe sensitive skin. Supercritical extraction does not generate chemical waste!

The new products are dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin and proven to be safe and gentle; they’re aluminum-free and as with all Tom’s of Maine products no animal products or animal testing is used. The deodorants are Kosher and Halal certified.

Tom’s Natural Sensitive Care Deodorant is available in stores across the country and online.
