Tom’s of Maine cofounders Tom and Kate Chappell announced
that another Tom's of Maine product - NATURAL ANTICAVITY FLUORIDE MOUTHWASH - has earned the American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance. The Anticavity Mouthwash joins all three Tom’s of Maine children’s
anticavity fluoride toothpastes and five adult anticavity fluoride toothpastes with this recognition. Tom’s of Maine remains the only natural toothpaste to have earned the ADA Seal of Acceptance.
“Our scientists, dentists and other oral care professionals have worked diligently to create another very effective, safe, pleasant-tasting product from plants and minerals that now has earned the highest recognition an oral care product can receive,” said Tom’s of Maine cofounder Tom Chappell. “Earning the ADA Seal of Acceptance on this natural mouthwash is another step toward proving you can make great products that work without using artificial ingredients or alcohol.”
Upon announcement of the Seal the ADA stated, “The American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs’ acceptance of Tom’s of Maine Natural Anticavity Fluoride Mouthwash is based on its finding that the product is effective in helping to prevent or reduce tooth decay, when used as directed.”
