We purchased this deodorant for our 9 year old son because it was aluminum-free and appeared to be a safe choice for kids. However, my son has now developed red, peeling, and stinging skin in his armpits. We will no longer be using this product.

This is not a good product at all. I have all the same problems as everyone else... You would think though with all these bad ratings the company would discontinue it...

The product generally worked well for me but not well enough. No problems except I would wake up with faint underarm odor (I experience "night sweats"). Another product worked better, which I will continue using.

So I've realized I'm not the only one with redness, peeling, and burning after using this product. I'm a bit down, because I really wanted to try to use a deodorant without aluminum and more organic. :(

I have recently purchase the Tom deodorant product from watching it on Dr.OZ show, the show stated that is supposed to be all natural and for people with sensitive skin or body odor. Thus I went to my local super market and purchased the product. When applying this product for the first time I noticed that there was skin peeling and I thought nothing of it. The second day of use my skin started to peel more and the was a burning sensation on my armpits and burn blisters along with continous layers of skin peel which is leading to raw skin. I called the company wanting to know if there were any other purchasers that called with the same complaint and they said yes you are probably having an allergic reaction to the deodorant. Even though it supposed to be all natural.

I am slowly trying to transition my lifestyle into one that is more natural/organic, had high hopes for this deodorant, I love the Apricot scent, but it does not work for me. I stink even just sitting at my desk in the air conditioning & have noticed after a few weeks of use the skin around my pits is peeling which I think may be from the zinc, I've had this happen with Ivy Dry products before which contain zinc as well.

Long-lasting? Not a chance. Within an hour of applying this stuff it smelled as if I had applied no deodorant at all...actually a little worse to be honest. And all I was doing was sitting at my desk in my air-conditioned house! Waste of money.

I had been using the Arm & Hammer products to avoid aluminum which causes me to blister, but they did not control either wetness or odor very well. I tried the Apricot Tom's and after a few days, the familiar red began to show up. But, the redness then subsided and I have been really happy with the product since then. I bought the lavender tonight and hope that one will work as well.

I love it. Finally! Found this in a local Walgreen's and purchased it. I have severe sensitivity to most everything so had actually been going without...I know, right? Tried it and love it and it doesn't have aluminum in it either! Yay!

I was impressed the first two weeks of using this product. I didn't expect to be free of all odor, and I knew I would still sweat. After the second week my underarms started to burn and peel really bad. I will be returning this for a refund!!!

I have used Tom's deoderant since it was first introduced on the market. It was a great product, long lasting. However, I am very disatisfied with the new formula. It does not give the protection of the original formula. Unfortunately, I will start looking for a another brand. Disappointing since I never gave it a thought in the past! Let's be honest, I don't think you were looking for 3 star average rating!

I, too, have red, burning, peeling armpits. The only reason is deserves one star is because it smells rather nice, but only for a couple hours. I am discontinuing use immediately, as I have realized this is the source of my sad armpits.

I used this deodorant and it burned my underarms. They are red, chapped and burning. I really wanted to use something all natural but it does not control my odor and now it hurts.

Normally, I have to use clinical strength deodorant, so I was surprised at how well this works for me. I work as a housekeeper, so I'm moving/sweaty ALL day, but Tom's has me taken care of!

I was looking for an aluminum free deodorant. Thought I found the answer --- but Tom's long lasting does not last longer than a couple of hours -- I have a desk job nothing strenuous. Very disappointing. I will keep looking.

I was so excited to try this natural deodorant. However, it did a sub-par job of keeping stink at bay, and I had severe burns to my underarms as well as peeling skin from using it! Definitely will not be purchasing this again. Very disappointed.

Tom's! You must stop using Propylene Glycol in your products! Not only is It is a known irritant but the production of Propylene Glycol is anything but natural. Natural gas is collected from hydraulic fracking and oil refining! Very toxic processes!

I tried Lemongrss and within a week my skin peeled like I got a sunburn! I figured it was the fragrance so I tried Fragrance Free. Same thing! So much for "natural" product. I'm going back to Almay which doesn't do this. What's with your products?!!!

cont'd...sweat-free. the product is not meant to avoid sweat. our bodies are not meant to keep sweat and toxins in. sweat and some odor is worth avoiding cancer!

it took about 2 weeks of use to get past all the nasty antiperspirant that was clogging up my pores to see how well this works. i haven't had a reaction to the sodium like others and my skin is actually softer now. people, do not expect to go sweat f

I would rather have given this a 0/5. I've been using this deodorant for about a month now. From the beginning I noticed my armpits were red and raw and began to peel. I kept trying thinking it might go away, using lotion as well, but it is still there. I am going to stop using this product. Also, while it keeps my armpits from smelling thoughout the day it does nothing for my clothes. If I am outside or go for a run I sweat into my shirts and they begin to smell. When I undress my armpits still smell of the product. I hope someday Tom's can solve these issues but for now I am searching for another healthy alternative to aluminum anti-persperants.

I really wanted this product to work. I wanted to switch to a more natural non-aluminum underarm product. This one was a complete let down. I'm not sure how Tom's defines "long lasting" "24 hour protection" because this product was anything but.

I was really excited about using this product however after a week and a half of using it I noticed that the product had bleached my underarms, caused really bad discoloration, as well as made the skin on my underarms peel! I also noticed that my underarms had become very red and even some of the hair had burned on. I´m so disapointed in this product because I thought this was supposed to be the healthier option for my body, and it just hurt me.

My electrologist (also a nurse) recommended this, and I've been using it since I started electrolysis on my armpits almost a year ago. I have VERY sensitive skin and this does not irritate. Only 3 stars because it barely lasts through the day.

I bought this product a while ago, but didn't start using it until recently. I was super excited about it because I didn't get smelly (and I didn't mind the sweat). But I noticed my armpits were red the day after I started using it, and it's only gotten worse. HOLY MOLY my armpits are so itchy. Supr unhappy with the product now, but really disappointed because it's otherwise great. It's unfortunate because I really don't want to go back to using aluminum filled anti-perspirants. Get your ish together, Tom's!

I just bought the product and have used it twice its a great deodorant but sometimes you may find the salt a little iritating but u can just wipe it off switchfrom degree because of alluminium

I've always heard such great reviews of this brand, so I finally decided to try it. The only thiing I'm happy about is that I still have some of my old brand at home, because this product will be going in the garbage as soon as I get home!
