Our 2.5 y/o son loves this toothpaste. He has battled some staining for awhile that just wouldn't go away with other brands no matter how often we brushed. The staining was all but gone the first time we used it. He loves the flavor.

I was looking for a toothpaste that contained uncontroversial ingredients (no triclosan, etc.) but still contained fluoride. This toothpaste is exactly what I wanted. I also dislike mint, so this was perfect. Mainstream scientific consensus is that fluoride is safe at that concentrations used in toothpaste. Fluoride is very useful and proven for preventing tooth decay. Any 1 star reviews left that call fluoride toxic and poisonous are based on bad science and quackery, and should be disregarded. Tom's of Maine also offers a fluoride free version for the quacks out there, so they shouldn't be leaving bad reviews on this page.

This is the only toothpaste we have ever used with my daughter. she loves that it is NOT mint- and has not minty aftertaste. It's only strawberry. She's never had a cavity and refuses to us any other tube.

If your child can't stand mint try this. Any other mint or even fruity toothpaste made my son freak out. This is the only kind he will use.

My 3 year old daughter would not use toothpaste. She would brush her teeth with plain water, but refused to use any kind of toothpaste, We've only had this for a couple of days, but since I bought Tom's, she's used it two to three times a day! YAY!

LOVE this toothpaste! The kids like using it, no food coloring, it has xylitol instead of bad-for-you chemical sweeteners, AND it's certified kosher! We actually bring this to the dentist when we go to avoid using their chemical-laden standard paste.

We recieved our free sample of the strawberry flavored tooth paste... at first my grandson, said, " it is foamy and wierd," lol(he is 8 years old) but, he loved the taste and actually brushed his teeth without being told! Hi there. There treatment plan I am on does not allow for any salicylates in the products we put on or skin or absorb quickly. Mint is one of them. This was recommended to try by my doctor's office. I love it! It cleans well, doesn't leave a bad after taste or grit on my teeth! And..... It is salicylate free! Your company and cleure are the only companies out there that offer salicylate free tothpastes! all other brands out there contain at least 10% mint and are not required to print it on the ingredients label.

It is hard to find a kid's toothpaste that isn't some sort of peppermint flavor to it. My youngest triplet has a VERY sensitive mouth and mint flavorings cause her mouth to burn. She and all the crew love this toothpaste!

My teenage son has an eversion to all thins that have any mint flavoring - we struggled forever to find a good alternative toothpast (he also dislikes bubblegum flavor). Tom's strawberry saved us! He loves it and I feel good that he is getting flouride toothpaste when he brushes! WE LOVE it!

Smells amazing and tastes good too. Wasn't gritty. It is an added bonus that is natural and made in the USA, so there is less worry about the kinds of problems other companies have had with there products. Would recommend.

This is the only toothpaste my son will use! Unfortunately, there are never any coupons available in the Sunday paper, which is not a good thing as I am a single mom, fixed income and the only retailer who sells it (Target, Clifton Park NY) is approximately 20 miles away.

I can honestly say I would of never purchased this toothpaste until I received my FREE sample. Now, all my son does is want to brush his teeth and it reminds him of strawberry milk. You have a happy customer. Keep sending out samples and coupons in the future.

this is very good. We have been through about 4 other brands before this on and between the two kids, nobody was ever in agreement. This solved that. They both like it. It is a rather good size so therefore a good value. It is available local.

Upon reading the ingredients list I found that you use Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. This chemical is highly toxic and I'm shocked that a "natural" company would even use it. Since I do not wish to poison my family I will not be using any of your products.

I got this for a little girl who is super-picky. She actually WANTS to brush her teeth now. I prefer natural ingredients so this was a winner. The websites advertising the sample are at fault, Tom's had a limited amount of samples.

It doesn't foam as much as some other toothpastes, so it doesn't feel like it is cleaning as well as others. Just not sure if it is worth the extra money.

I have tried this and my kids liked it in terms of flavor, but I haven't bought it since because I'd rather see a sodium lauryl sulfate (sp?) and flouride free version. Also, I'm not too happy about the promise of a free sample when there's not one.

So happy to have found a not "TOO HOT!!!!" toothpaste with flouride for my 5 year old. Toothbrush Battle over. The first time he used it he asked to brush his teeth again right after he rinsed...that definitely didn't happen with the other brands. THANK YOU!!!!

I use the fluoride-fee Silly Strawberry on my three year old daughters teeth because it doesn't sting her mouth like other childrens toothpastes and she likes the flavor better. I also like it because it allows me to control the amount of fluoride in her daily routine by using a childrens fluoride rinse at bedtime. However, I do find it much less abrasive than regular toothpaste so I find myself at times,using more or brushing my daughters teeth longer to get them completely clean.

This is a product that cleans very well and doesn't have the strong oils that both flavor the paste and BURNS little mouths! It doesn't taste like the gross bubble gum or other 'candy' flavors offered by most other companies. A mild and subtle strawberry taste that finishes the task quite nicely. In addition, I use it because strong oils burn my mouth,too!

We bought this because we thought our daughter might like it. When we thought we had lost it we found out exactly how much she liked it. She was still brushing her teeth but only with water. She was VERY excited when we found it again and spent 20 minutes brushing and polishing her teeth. She loves this toothpaste. We have a lot of allergies in our family and with her in particular so it is nice to be able to figure out exactly what is in the toothpaste.

Just had my 3 and 6 year old in for their dental visits, and the dentist was "very impressed with their hygiene". I credit Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry - my kiddos love the flavor and they want to brush! I am so happy with the new tube you are using also. Thanks for a great product!

I'd give this a higher rating if it weren't packaged only for children. My college-age son has to hide "Silly Strawberry" from dorm mates. Disappointed that Tom's has discontinued Lemon-Lime and Apricot, or can't offer adult packaging for strawberry.

I have severe asthma and all mint toothpaste will set off an attack. Bad enough that it put me in the hospital. That is when I went to my health food store and they recommended Tom's Apricot Toothpaste. I loved it for 4yrs. Then you stop making it. I search the internet for another toothpaste. There isn't any that doesn't have mint or some flavor and smell. After exhausting Amazons stock of Apricot toothpaste,(and I paid towards the end almost $10 a tube) I tried the Silly Strawberry. All I can say is, I can brush my teeth without an asthma attack. It doesn't taste great and the packaging for a 57 yr old women doesn't cut it. The non-fluoride is better overall, it has less taste to it. But I'm finding it hard to find the non-fluoride. Can't you make a non-mint toothpaste for adults?

I think it's horrible that this is the only alternative to mint toothpaste out there today...and never thought that Tom's would do this to its customers that cannot tolerate mint.

I am 16, and I am allergic to mint. Regular mint toothpastes make my tounge swell up. Tom's Silly Strawberry toothpaste has absolutely no mint in it, and it works perfectly. My only problem is that, while it doesn't have an offensive taste, it still doesn't taste very good.

I find it unpleasant that the flouride version of this product looks like the non-flouride version. Actually, I didn't know there were two versions until I got home from m co-op. Beware the confusion in the packaging.

Thank you for making this. I cannot use toothpaste containing mint so this toothpaste is a blessing. It's not just for children! I love it that your products are not tested on animals.
