Elizabeth Dumas, B.A. Microbiologist Ms. Dumas is responsible for establishing, performing, and maintaining test programs that ensure the microbiological integrity of products under development. In addition, she carries out research-level experimentation to characterize the antimicrobial efficacy of novel ingredients and product prototypes. Ms. Dumas also runs in-house testing of ocular and dermal irritation potential using non-animal test models. Ms. Dumas holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colby College. She joined Tom’s of Maine in 1994. Favorite Tom's products? "I have used spearmint fluoride toothpaste since the day I walked in here, and have yet to be swayed to another flavor (although I admit there are some other good ones). That would be my number one Tom’s product – the one I couldn’t do without. I’m also a big fan of the liquid hand soaps and the peppermint baking soda mouthwash."
