How Does The Toothpaste Get In The Tube, Anyway?

How Does The Toothpaste Get In The Tube, Anyway?

"Have you ever wondered how deodorant is made? Or how in the world the toothpaste gets in the tube? Well, we'd like to show you how we do it! Since 1970, when Tom and Kate started out mixing toothpaste with a Kitchen Aid (we've grown quite a bit since then!), we've always made our products right here in Maine.

Today, our factory is housed in a state-of-the-art building in Sanford, Maine, where we love to welcome people inside and show off our products (not to mention our hardworking employees). Getting a behind-the-scenes peek at how our factory operates through our summer tour program has always been a special part of the Tom's of Maine experience.

In 2011, we are unfortunately unable to provide factory tours.  We hope to bring you an improved tour program in the summer of 2012.  In the meantime, we hope you’ll enjoy our “virtual tour” by watching this video.
