Hi Tony, this is Rob. Changing our toothpaste tube was a very big decision for us, and one that was only made after we had considered current manufacturing and recycling practices, and consumer feedback. You can read out our decision here http://www.tomsofmaine.com/business-practices/environmental-practices/laminate-tube. The tubes are still recyclable as #7 plastics in many communities. For people who live in communities where these plastics are not accepted, we follow the same practice we did with our aluminum tubes - we ask people to save them up and send them back to us. We'll make sure they get recycled. Let us know if you have any additional questions!

The tubes are no longer able to be recycled since they are no longer made from aluminium. It is cheaper to make it out of plastic (like "normal" brands), and so they did.

We may try Tom's of Maine toothpaste after watching how much is recycled!

Very interesting. Really like the part about recycling. Would like to see more about the garden. Thank you.

The tour is a wonderful idea, I just wish you would have shown a little more. Kudos on recyling, though.

Interesting video, but longer with more detail would be nice.

This was a very nice video and I really appreeciate the fact the Tom's opens their doors to the public and shares the many ways they are trying to minimize their environmental impact.
