How We Source Our Ingredients

The ingredients that go into Tom’s of Maine personal care products are naturally sourced or naturally derived, from sources such as plants and minerals,and are processed according to our strict standards to help ensure quality and safety. We specifically avoid ingredients that contain artificial colors, artificial preservatives, or parabens.

Before a new ingredient can be used in a Tom’s of Maine product, it undergoes an extensive, multi-stage evaluation. The introduction of a new raw material, unique ingredient or even a new supplier prompts a comprehensive review, including an assessment for natural sourcing and safety.
